Feeling very blessed

Hey y'all and happy Friday!!  I just wanted to pop in to say Hi and share my blessings today.  I found out last week that I'd won a fat quarter giveaway from Megan and the fabrics came night before last!  They are so pretty and I've got them between my computer and sewing machine waiting for inspiration to strike on what to do with them...  THANK YOU, MEGAN!!

Today I got to spend most of the day at school celebrating love and friendship with my two favorite kiddos.  Oren's Valentine's Day party was this morning and Emma's was this afternoon.  She LOVED the dress when she got home from school yesterday and wore it around the house last night and then was thrilled to wear it again today.  So, I'm not sure if we're making progress in that arena or if she is just super excited about Valentine's Day.  Either way...I'll take it.  And Oren decided that he didn't need a special shirt, so that solved that problem for me.

Then this afternoon, she rode home from school on the bus (first time ever) with a friend to spend the night.  It's her first one-on one sleepover (she's stayed over at a big birthday party with this same friend)!  But before they get to sleeping, we're having a Valentine's party over there tonight with friends from church.  So, at least I'll get to kiss her goodnight and make sure she's got everything she needs.  I always tell Chris that my kids don't suffer from separation anxiety, but I do.  I rationalize it by saying that because I'm a stay-at-home Mom, my job is to care for them and be with them.  So when we're apart for any length of time, I get nervous because my "job" is gone.  I think it's just because I'm a wierdo, but the other explanation sounds so much better.
I know the blur looks wierd, but I only got a few action shots today and in an effort not to give away too much info on where we live, I tried to blur out their classrooms.

So...in a nutshell, I am feeling very blessed today and want to share the love.  Happy Friday, Happy weekend, and Happy early Valentine's Day to all of you.  May you feel the love of God each day in the blessings that surround you.
