I think it's because of December's bustle and indulgence and go-go-go mentality, this time of year always makes me want to slow down, take a look around and declutter my life. That's what I was thinking when making me goals this year. I don't want to bog myself down with big projects that throw guilt on me when I see them laying around waiting on me to finish them. And I'm going to be honest, my sewing room is such a mess right now, it'd bring anyone down. Yes, I admitted it. My sewing room is in bad need of a day spent cleaning. So that's what I'm working on right now. I hope to have progress to show soon.
And if you remember last year about this time, I was doing the exact same thing...and that cleaning resulted in a giveaway. So...stick around and I'll see what I can't find to share. It's always more fun to share than put it all away anyway, right? Besides, any fabric and supplies given away makes for room to buy more, isn't that how it goes? ;)
I'll be back tomorrow with that scarf I mentioned earlier. I love it! But do go over and check out what everyone else has been working on if you're so inclined. The inspiration is always wonderful!!
I rang in the New year in my room cleaning it!! I was just thinking yesterday and today that I always enjoy January. It always seems to be the eye of the storm for me!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you! After the chaos that was December, all I want to do is clean, declutter, and organize right now - time for a fresh start!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the cleaning...that's what I have to do, once I take down the tree!!
ReplyDeleteThere's something about the new year that makes me want to clean and organize everything in sight!! I have a lot to do!! William Morris is a genius :)
ReplyDeleteClean out is on the cards for me too. I'm thinking of having "to a good home" giveaway...first in will get the goodies!
ReplyDeleteI am right there with you on the cleaning and decluttering, Kelli! Been working on organizing and purging kids' clothes. Every time I do this I give away so much, but those things must be multiplying as they still have way too many clothes! Hope you had a great weekend!
